I once heard a preacher say going to church want get you into heaven but you should go anyway.

That is so true. Over the years I have had my share of hurt and pain brought on by getting too involved in church or the ministry. It seems the worse kind of hurt is that which is brought on by someone from the Body of Christ.

No one is perfect and we all have fallen short and its only by HIS grace and mercy that we are still alive and where we are today.

I am a member of Union Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC under the teaching of  Rev. Dr. Sir Walter Mac, Jr. Every Sunday I attend church I leave with enough WORD to take home and meditate on to take me though the week.

Dr. Sir Walter L. Mack, Jr.

He is an awesome man of God that I consider not only an awesome orator but-one who  is very well read an abreast to world news and the flight of African Americans in today’s society.

Yesterday he taught on being misunderstood.  After I left service I thought about my life for a moment. God has brought me from a mighty long way. Not that I was a bad guy or anything but there is a time and a season for everything and I am indeed grateful to God that he has kept me and protected me during those times in my life when I made bad decisions that not only affected me but others.

No one is capable of changing their past no matter how good or bad it was and in some cases not matter what you do as I have stated before people will never forgive or let you forget and most of the time is either one of two people. Family or someone from the Body of Christ or a combination of the two which is really confusing.

Life is too short to hold grudges or to set unrealistic expectations on anyone just to see them Fall Short according only to YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

The world has many definitions for the word Man, Husband and Father. However, I like to think of man as being the common denominator for all 3. It takes a man to ignore, turn the  other cheek, hold his tongue when his character is being attached by anyone but especially a family member who is in the Body of Christ.

So I wrote this blog for those that have been hurt by family members who are or may not be in the Body of Christ. Its a painful thing and the worst thing you can do is try to defend yourself to someone who will never forgive you and continue to set unfair expectations on you. The battle is not yours. Trust and know that in time all things work together for those that love the Lord.

We have all been misunderstood at some point in our lives and this will not be the last time, the only reason it hurts because its coming from a family member. I also once heard someone say God gives us Family so we could deal better with our enemies. lol
